If you are not an American citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee in the U.S., you would be considered an international student.

I’m an American citizen and have lived overseas all my life. Am I considered an international student? Do I apply as an international student?

OWU has many American students who have lived, or currently are living, abroad. Your international experiences make you a valued member of our community. Although Ms. Grace Poling, Director of International Recruitment, will be your admission counselor, you should apply as an American student.
