How much does it cost to attend Ohio Wesleyan University?

Our general fees for 2009-2010 are as follows (all figures are in U.S. Dollars):

  • Tuition is $34,570
  • Information technology fee is $250
  • Student activity fee is $220
  • Standard room (housing) is $4,490
  • Average board (meal plan) is $4,318
  • Required international student health insurance is $1,000 (estimated)
  • The total average base annual cost for international students is $44,848*

Do you have scholarships for international students?

Ohio Wesleyan awards merit-based aid, including Presidential, Trustee, Faculty and other scholarships, which is provided to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement; and need-based aid, which is for students who need additional resources to attend Ohio Wesleyan.  For need-based aid, you would need to submit the International Student Financial Aid Application form.

May I work while I’m a student?

Yes, you are allowed to work on campus for a limited number of hours when school is in session and full-time during breaks and summer. F-1 students are prohibited by the U.S. non-immigrant law to work off-campus.

Am I required to submit an affidavit of support if I plan to support myself financially?

If you plan to support yourself, you will still need to provide proof of funding for your educational expenses at OWU.
